One of the main reasons why I came to love the Chemical Sensors and Biosensors Laboratory: awesome people. Despite the lack of orderliness, despite that things go missing every time, despite the fumes that surrounds it when someone turns of the laboratory hood, I found another family. Group of people with different personalities and with different age spans who work for improvement in the field of research. Everyone knows how to have fun and how to control the boredom inside the lab. We laugh at the same jokes, we pick on others, we have the mentor- student/ father-child/ brother- sister kind of relationship that takes the awkwardness away.
Thank you for the awesome Christmas Party/ Year- end Progress Report!

One thing I’ve learned is that life has a strange mechanism to balance everything out in the end. It seems like every bad incident is counteracted with a good one. But it also works the opposite way too - every good incident is balanced with a bad. This mechanism can be frustrating at times, but it serves a purpose. We learn to cherish the good but also learn from the bad. And even though it can be tough sometimes to see the good, we have to make the most of it.

A calm jar. I need one of these. You fill the jar with colored water and glitter. When you are upset you shake the jar and have to watch it until the glitter completely settles. The time it takes is enough time for you to settle your emotions.
